Volunteer With Us

Give your time. Bring your strengths. Help carry the mission.

Volunteers are an important part of Homefront Honor Foundation. Whether you enjoy working with people, helping behind the scenes, organizing events, sharing professional skills, or supporting community outreach, there may be a meaningful place for you on our team.

You do not need military experience to volunteer.

We welcome people from many different backgrounds. Compassion, reliability, sound judgment, respect for confidentiality, and a sincere commitment to the mission matter more than having a specific professional history.

Ways to Serve

Volunteer in a way that fits your strengths.

Opportunities may change as the Foundation grows. Some roles may be ongoing, while others may be connected to a specific event, project, campaign, or community need.

Community Outreach

Help represent the Foundation at community gatherings, resource fairs, awareness activities, donation drives, and other approved outreach opportunities.

Event Support

Assist with event setup, registration, guest support, information tables, supply organization, cleanup, and other responsibilities that help events run smoothly.

Administrative Support

Help with organization, scheduling, data entry, communications, document preparation, recordkeeping, and other behind-the-scenes work that keeps the mission moving.

Resource Research

Help identify reputable community resources, service providers, public programs, and referral options that may support veterans, widows, and military families.

Fundraising and Campaigns

Support fundraising activities, community giving campaigns, sponsor outreach, donation drives, and projects that help build the Foundation’s charitable capacity.

Professional and Skilled Services

Contribute experience in technology, communications, design, photography, legal services, finance, education, logistics, trades, or another specialized field.

Equipped to Succeed

We provide tools that help volunteers stay connected.

Approved volunteers may receive access to Foundation-managed systems and resources based on their assigned role. Our goal is to make collaboration straightforward, organized, and enjoyable.

Access is assigned according to role and operational need. Foundation accounts, systems, badges, files, and equipment remain Foundation property and may be changed or withdrawn when a role ends or access is no longer required.

Internal Email Account

Eligible volunteers may receive a Foundation email account for approved internal communications and organizational use.

Microsoft Teams Access

Collaborate with Foundation leadership and other volunteers through approved Teams channels, meetings, files, announcements, and project spaces.

Personalized Volunteer Badge

Volunteers serving in approved roles may receive a photo identification badge displaying their name and Foundation role.

Role-Based Resources

Depending on the assignment, volunteers may receive templates, training materials, shared files, procedures, forms, and other tools needed for the role.

A Shared Commitment

What volunteers can expect—and what we ask in return.

A positive volunteer experience depends on clear expectations, respectful communication, responsible leadership, and mutual trust.

What you can expect from us

We want volunteers to understand their role and feel supported while performing it.

Clear instructions and a defined point of contact
Respect for your time, abilities, and availability
Role-appropriate training, guidance, and tools
A safe process for raising concerns or asking questions
Recognition for the time and effort you contribute

What we ask from volunteers

Volunteers represent the Foundation and should conduct themselves in a way that protects the people we serve.

Reliability and honest communication about availability
Respectful, inclusive, and professional conduct
Protection of confidential or sensitive information
Following assigned roles, procedures, and safety boundaries
Immediate reporting of concerns, conflicts, or incidents
How It Works

From interest to active volunteer.

Our volunteer process helps us understand your interests, protect the people we serve, and place volunteers into roles where they can contribute responsibly.

1

Submit Your Interest

Tell us about yourself, your interests, experience, availability, and preferred ways to help.

2

Connect With Our Team

We may contact you for a conversation to discuss current needs, expectations, and possible assignments.

3

Complete Onboarding

Depending on the role, onboarding may include policies, training, agreements, identification, or screening.

4

Begin Serving

Once approved and assigned, you will receive the guidance and tools needed to begin volunteering.

Volunteer identification and access have clear limits.

A Homefront Honor Foundation volunteer badge identifies an approved volunteer acting within an assigned Foundation role. It is not a government, military, law-enforcement, emergency-service, or security credential.

A badge does not grant special legal authority, access to restricted locations, permission to represent another organization, or authority to make commitments on behalf of the Foundation unless specifically authorized in writing.

Internal email and Microsoft Teams accounts are provided only for approved Foundation activities. Volunteer email accounts are intended for internal organizational communication unless a volunteer has been expressly authorized to communicate externally as part of an assigned role.
